Spouse Program would provide an opportunity for participants to experience culture and natural beauty of Busan. Various activities including city sightseeing and visits to tourist attractions are specially selected and organized.


    Spouses of the following attendees can join the spouse program for both days

  • Head of Delegation
  • Panelists, Speakers and Presenters
  • Member country Ambassador to Korea
  • Minister-level officials
  • High-profile leaders comparable to the above

  • Only registered participants in the 2018 Annual Meetings can join the Spouse Program.

Old Town Tour

  • 14:50-16:20 Gamcheon Cultural Village
    This village, with its rows of terraced houses standing along the mountainside, is referred to as the Machu Picchu of Korea. Beautiful murals, a part of the village art project, as well as the winding streets and alleyways that criss-cross the area add an exotic charm and present visitors a chance to explore this unique village. With a growing number of tourists, it stands tall on behalf of Busan. Why don’t you come and have a fun time here searching for each viewpoint and taking pictures of the village’s many oddities, murals and unique landscape? Little prince and Desert Fox, and whole Gamcheon area are recommended photo zones.
  • 16:40-17:40 Songdo Sky Walk & Marine Cable Car Ride
    Songdo Beach, the first bathing place in Korea, has such an impressive coastal line called Naples in the East. Every year, the beach draws a large crowd of visitors with its famed festivals, including the Sea Art Festival and Pop Music Festival. It recently marked the 100th anniversary of its opening in 2013.

    The Songdo marine cable car has begun its operation under the brand new name, Busan Air Cruise. The cable car runs daily year-round. It runs up to 86 meters above the sea and offers great views of Amnam Park, Namhang and the Yeongdo coastline.

    A temple founded by Buddhist Master Uisang during King Munmu’s reign in Silla. It was built over 1,300 years ago. This place is picturesque along with a trail through a grove of soaring bamboo stalks and blooming apricot flowers in spring. It is a serene spot to feel peace and quiet. Beomeosa Temple tour is not only about a general overview of Buddhist practice but a vivid experience of traditional Korean culture. (Tea Ceremony- Dahdo, Making Buddha Bracelets).

  • 14:30-15:30 Boat Tour
    The boat tour sailing from Haeundae to Gwangandaegyo Bridge offers everything passengers need for a smooth and relaxing voyage on the open seas. This will be the perfect getaway for those who want to pamper themselves. (Refreshments included.)
  • 15:50-17:50 Shinsegae Centum City Shopping Tour
    This was listed as the World’s Largest Department Store in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2009, and the record still stands. In addition to the shopping center, it is equipped with various leisure facilities.
